2011 in Words-Transformation

February is here!  We’re entering month 2 of 2011 and we’re to our second word for 2011.  Our word for January, and 2011 as a whole, is hope.  You can read more about that here.  In February we’re talking about transformation.  More than change, transformation is about a bigger something that gives us all opportunities for our lives.

Transform your body: stretch/do yoga daily, walk daily, eat food that supports your body.  Commit to rest your body as well, and feed your cravings in moderation.

Transform your mind: read daily, listen to inspirational music or speakers daily, and listen to less news.  Check out the work of John Maxwell, Deepak Chopra, Eckhart Tolle, Les Brown, John Assaraf and The Shift Network.  This just scratches the surface.  If you’re interested in learning more, send me a message on Twitter or Facebook.

Transform your heart: be dedicated in 2011 to doing good for more people.  Treat more people with love and respect.  Smile more often, hold the door for someone, greet your cashier, and tip you waiter/waitress a little more.

Transform your attitude: I believe that attitude is one of the defining factors in each of our lives.  Regard the world with a positive attitude.  Look for opportunities to help, not hurt.  Spread forgiveness and hope to those you meet.

Transform your perspective: Believe that there is hope for the economy.  Believe that you can still make good money.  Believe that there is a great relationship for you (whether you rebuild your current one or start a new one).  See things as opportunities, not problems, challenges not issues, and always look for multiple ways to achieve your goals.

But more than anything, I hope you accept February as a time of transformation to hope.  Hope for the future, hope for your life, hope for your family, hope for your community.  Join the countless people around the world who are spreading hope within their communities.
